Dear Denplan Patient

Now is a challenging time for all of us, and we want to reassure you that we are taking all necessary steps to protect your safety, your family’s safety and the safety of our practice team.

We have now re-opened (as of 8th June 2020)  but on a very limited basis and personal protective equipment dependent (PPE). Denplan are currently sourcing limited quantties of  PPE for you until our normal supply routes return.  

As guidance is changing daily we will only be seeing urgent cases initially, after a strict telephone or video conference triage process. We are currently developing a pre-appointment video-conferencing facility for both our dentists and hygienists.  If you are in a moderate or severe risk group we ask you still keep isolated as long as possible. Once we are able to get back to our normal operation we will be extending our opening hours to catch-up on any postponed appointments - which will be covered as always by your monthly Denplan payments.

All the dentists, health permitting, will also be available for telephone or video  calls and advice in normal working hours. Please let our reception team know and your dentist will call you back at a mutually convenient time.

If you are running short of interdental brushes or other cleaning aids please ring us and we can arrange for you to pick some up from the practice (via social distancing) or we can drop some off for you (location dependent!). Please ring if you wish to chat anything through with us.   

We’re still here for emergencies:

If you experience a problem, you can still contact the practice for advice.  We are contactable during our normal hours via landline.

At other times you may leave a message on the answer machine, or urgent out of hours mobile phone (see below). 

Out of hours, exclusively for our Denplan patients you may also ring, text, iMessage or email,  WhatsApp this mobile number when needing very urgent advice.


Please do not ring this number for routine appointments of minor issues e.g. lost crowns, asymptomatic fillings.

You are really important to us – you’re part of our practice family. All of us at the practice are here to help in any way we can. If you’re isolating and need assistance getting essentials or anything else, please call the reception team and we will be happy to help you where we can.

If your job or income is a concern for you during this time, please let our reception team know in confidence. We will look at how we can help support you and keep you registered as a Denplan patient, until things get back to normal.
